Our Mission
Save A Brain is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to provide education, encourage prevention, and spread awareness about the long-term mental and physical effects of Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI) and concussions.
The Inspiration Behind SAB —Kelsey Boyer’s Story
After surviving a life-changing traumatic brain injury (TBI) during a snowboard competition, Kelsey faced the daunting challenge of recovery. Relearning coordination and speech were significant hurdles, but the emotional turmoil was even more difficult. Struggling to find understanding from doctors, Kelsey embarked on a journey of self-discovery, seeking support from friends and online resources. This experience revealed alarming gaps in brain injury knowledge and care.
In response, Kelsey started an Instagram page to share her insights, leading to the creation of Save A Brain. The organization aims to bridge these gaps and provide essential support for those dealing with brain injuries, evolving from a social media platform to a vital recovery and awareness resource.
